Let the games begin!

[First post for NaBloPoMo!]

Liam has gotten very, very, very demanding with his Nana! (always the exclamation point) pictures on dropshots. And I do need to cut him some slack but, no offense Nana!, I'm getting kind of tired looking at your pictures & videos 65690 times a day.

A few things have to occur for his Nana! viewing session to be of complete enjoyment for him:

1) He must be sitting on my lap
2) My hand must be on the mouse
3) It has to be a video but sometimes still pictures will do
4) We have to watch it at least 5-7 times in a row before he crawls down & moves onto something else
5) I cannot be multi-tasking whatsoever

And when I say "must be", I mean must be. He will toss my hand back to the mouse if I happen to want to scratch my nose. He will yammer away & claw himself up into my lap signaling the beginning of a Nana! Session.

I know I shouldn't moan about this because hey, how cute that he asks to see his Nana! many, many, many times a day? He loves her & it shows and I should do everything I can to foster that relationship AND I DO but if I don't end up banging my head on the desk soon, I don't know what else might happen. Matias heard my griping the other night & properly chastised me - telling me that you never know how long this Nana! phase will last & we should encourage him to show his love, blahblahblah whatever you're right, I'm just about to go CRAZY about this!

I've requested that Nana! make some of her own videos and post them on dropshots - he doesn't have to be in them - just sit there & talk to him, sing songs, read a book! I DON'T CARE! We do have webcams that are functional & working but Nana! isn't at Camp Carolina at the moment (or all the time) but we do have to start being better about that...so that I can give him something else to fixate on!

I need to video tape his expressions when he sees Nana! It's just the cutest thing on this planet, so I know, I know, I need to suck it up & give him his Nana! But trust me, I do, it's just becoming a little much :)
